We are proud to announce that our DNV-GL type approved Maritime PABX and intercom system can now be delivered in a cyber secure version by using Our latest Cyber Secure operating system OS 03.00.

At first glance cyber security might seem unnesseccary for an analogue maritime telephone and intercom system. But as the SeaCom systems are based on contemporary computer technology, and can be configured and maintained remotedly, via network connections, we have decided to make the SeaCom systems cyber secure.

Our Cyber Security strategy is created with the DNV-CG-0325- Cyber Secure Section 21 as our guideline, and we aim for security profile SP1.
The OS is not yet approved by DNV-GL, but we expect that to happen in 2025.

Below a list of elements that form the Cyber Security Strategy (CSS) of the OS 03.00

• Firewall
• User management
• Enforcement of strong user passwords
• 2 person authentication for remote sdministration
• SSH as only user interface
• Encrypted communication and file transfer
• Malicious code detection
• Intrusion detection and blocking
• System audit and reports
• Event logging
• E-mail alerts for reboot, user log in, virus, log file storage etc.
• Write protected OS

The OS 03.00 can be installed in all our exchange models on request.

The new OS will help ship designers by making sure that the SeaCom systems can participate safely in the on board networking infrastructure.
